The player travels through here through a train at the start of the game, where they first meet Ame, the manager of the Reborn League. You also meet the Ghost gym leader Shade, although he's not named until later.
The player later travel through here to obtain the Alloy Badge. The gym is located north of the desert in 1R253 Scrapyard. If you didn't fight Taka at the Water Treatment Center, you will fight him here and after his defeat he offers to tag along with you throughout the desert.
The Mirage Tower is located in the east of the desert, above the Sugiline Ruins, and only appears after the player interacts with three Light Shards in three oases in the desert. There is also a Mirage Tower Indicator, which indicates whether the Mirage Tower appears or not.
Go slightly right from the station and go up until you reach a new rail, you can check whether the Mirage Tower Indicator Pole appears. If the Pole appears, the Mirage Tower appears.
The left image shows the area when the Mirage Tower doesn't appear. The right image shows the same area when the Mirage Tower does.
Owned by Reborn's developer Marcello, there is a lemonade stand west of Mirage Tower. You can find it by walking behind the tower then go up and to the left. Surf right to get behind the Mirage Tower.
Go only one step to the back of the tower, than go straight up. It doesn't look possible from the front, but there's an invisible upward path behind the tower. When you reach the top tile, go left.
He will sell some Lemonade and if you defeat the Alolan Exeggutor next to him, it will drop a Dragonium Z.
Blue Moon Lemonade is only available if you have an Exeggutor in your party.
Special Encounters[]
Wait, That's Not A Tree?[]
Scattered across the desert are many palm trees. The darker-colored ones are actually Alolan Exeggutors. If you walk up to them, they'll initiate a battle.
After going through many events to get a Magikarp, you can finally obtain it after you defeat Corin-Rouge.
Pokémon[]
Main Desert[]
Encounter rates change depending on where an oasis is located at (there are 4 possible locations) (Darmanitan, Hippowdon, Skarmory and Scrafty's rates remain static through all cycles).
Northwestern Oasis active (west of Sugiline Cave)[]
Taka is fought on a Desert Field in a Single Battle format and he has two Ultra Potions. The battle is only available if the player refused to battle Taka in the Water Treatment Center.
After defeating him in a battle, Taka asks the player to go with them while first travelling through the Tourmaline Desert. He will use this team if the player accepts.
Tourmaline Desert is named after the crystal, Tourmaline.
According to the merchants in the 1R253 Scrapyard, Titania used to hold Gym Battles there instead of in her castle.
Taka has additional dialogue if you bring him to the lemonade stand; however, it is impossible to normally see it due to TMX Surf and Fly being disabled when with a partner. You need to surf behind Mirage Tower to access the stand, so the only way to bring Taka is through cheats.
