Mintaka Alcantara
Taka
Meteor Admin Taka
Alias Mintaka Alcantara
First Appearance Obsidia Ward (Optional)

Malchous Forest Park (Story)

Eye color Amber
Hair color Ash Blonde
Relatives Taube (grand father)
Solaris (father)
Trainer class Meteor Admin
Vagrant Scion

Mutated, morphed, and altogether mangled, this is just the life that was chosen for it.

Mintaka Alcantara, commonly known as Taka, is an admin of Team Meteor and the son of Solaris.

Taka is an oddly friendly Team Meteor admin who doesn't seem to take their goals so seriously, even giving the player information on how to beat them. He talks very casually for someone of his rank and has a quite a humorous side. Despite being part of Team Meteor, Taka is rather friendly and doesn't seem to mind failing at his missions (although he does worry about the consequences).

Story Events[]

Obsidia Ward[]

Taka can be optionally found in the Devon Corp building in the Obsidia Ward while Team Meteor is wreaking havoc in Obsidia Park. He complains that he's being forced to be there, and offers to sell the player a few general goods. When Meteor abandons the ward, a nondescript salesman takes his place.

Malchous Forest[]

Taka is first formally met inside the destroyed Jasper Ward Gym in the Malchous Forest, where he laments the damage caused by the PULSE Machine, telling the player that he wants to let it go but can't because he's working for Team Meteor. He then orders a group of Team Meteor grunts to surround the player, after which Heather arrives to take on the grunts while the player fights Taka. Once Taka is defeated, he informs the player that there's another PULSE Tangrowth in the Beryl Ward before Heather flies the player and herself out of the shaking building.

Rhodochrine Jungle[]

On the way through the Rhodochrine Jungle, the player is potentially trapped in a Nuzleaf cage. If the player refuses to beg Fern to open the cage, a Chatot will open the cage after a minute of waiting. It is heavily implied that this is Taka's Chatot.

Taka can then be found assisting in guarding the PULSE Tangrowth by the Rhodochrine Tree alongside ZEL, Ace, Borealis, and other lower-ranked Team Meteor members. Here, Taka mentions that he invited the player here to help deal with things. He then ends up fighting either Cain (if the player avoided getting trapped in a Nuzleaf cage) or Fern (if the player did get trapped) while the player takes on Ace, and disappears from the area once Ace has been defeated.

Azurine Island[]

Taka is next met on Azurine Island with Cain as a hostage. He explains Team Meteor's plans with the PULSE Camerupt to the player before challenging them to a battle. After losing to the player, he lets Cain and the player leave and retreats to Pyrous Mountain with the PULSE-Camerupt.

Pyrous Mountain[]

Once Victoria and the player make it to the top of Pyrous Mountain in an attempt to stop Team Meteor from destroying Apophyll Academy, they find Taka there alongside Solaris and Cal, fighting against Cain. Here, Taka reveals that he is Solaris's son before he battles Victoria while the player fights Solaris. After Cal destroys the PULSE-Camerupt, Taka retreats with the rest of Team Meteor.

Water Treatment Center[]

Taka is later encountered when the player teams up with Titania in the Water Treatment Center. He subtly helps the player and Titania throughout the whole level and assures Titania that Amaria is safe. Titania quickly guesses that Taka has no intention of stopping them, which Taka confirms. After Titania confirms Amaria's condition and takes back the Sapphire Bracelets from Taka, he asks the player to battle him to make it look like he tried so he can uphold his facade. When Titania challenges his attitude, Taka explains that he wants to quit Team Meteor, but that he feels the bloodline he shares with Solaris will not allow it. He states that the only reason he’s a part of Team Meteor is due to his father, and that he doesn't really agree with what they're doing. After Titania refuses, Taka begs the player to show him mercy. The player then has the choice to battle Taka or not.

If the player chooses to battle Taka in the Water Treatment Center, a relieved Taka will thank you after you defeat him and wish you good luck. This choice will put the player on the Zekrom Route.

If the player chooses not to battle Taka in the Water Treatment Center, he laments the player's decision.

Regardless of the player's choice, Ace will show up shortly thereafter and challenge the player to a battle to reclaim the Sapphire Bracelets. If the player fought Taka, their team is healed, but there is no opportunity to change teams between the fights. Once Ace has been defeated, they realize that the player doesn't actually have the Sapphire Bracelets, to which Taka tells them that Titania took them by threatening him with her Aegislash. If the player did not fight Taka, Ace then calls him out because there's no sign of a fight taking place in the area. Ace then signals to Team Meteor that the bracelets are missing, after which the player leaves.

Ace and Taka then share a private conversation once the player has left. Here, Taka confesses that he doesn't know what to do— he is initially hesitant to say anything out of fear of Lin or Solaris finding out, but Ace picks up on what is wrong. Taka states that he no longer supports Team Meteor's— and his father's— actions, but Lin is holding his back against the wall under the threat that if he fails once more, he would not get any more second chances. Ace says that neither they nor Solaris would stand for such a thing, and agrees that Lin and Sirius have corrupted Team Meteor to a shell of its former self, saying that it is time to contact Solaris about taking action. Taka is resigned and tells Ace that Solaris will not listen to him, so Ace offers to contact Solaris instead and let him know that Lin needs to be removed from the team.

Tourmaline Desert[]

If the player refuses to battle Taka in the Water Treatment Center, when the player reaches the Tourmaline Desert, Taka is encountered at the train station. He challenges the player to another battle, claiming not to have a choice anymore. After losing, he concludes he can no longer go back to Team Meteor and expresses his admiration of the player. He then asks if he can follow the player through the desert.

If the player answers No, Taka will leave the player to explore the desert alone. This choice will put the player on the Mixed Route.

If the player answers Yes, he will be the player's partner in all battles throughout the desert, including the Sugiline Cave and Ruins, the Teknite Cave and Ridge, and the Mirage Tower. This choice will put the player on the Reshiram Route.

He will not leave the player until the player takes the train back to Reborn City or reaches the Train Town part of the scrapyard, when he and the player meet Europa. Taka expresses joy at the prospect of staying in Train Town and is given his own apartment train by Europa. He then lies down and attempts to sleep.

Belly of the Beast[]

Taka does not appear here on this route.

Taka is then encountered when the player climbs Titania's castle tower after having been ambushed by Lin. He tells the player that he is glad to see them and implores them to believe him that he did not want any of this to happen. He then vanishes, claiming that he will find a way to help the player. After reaching the cave part of Titania's gym and battling a Reshiram statue, Lin ambushes the player in knight's armor and Titania stabs her from behind. It is then revealed that Titania mistakenly stabbed Taka instead of Lin, who then appears to mock Titania and the player even further. After Titania stabs Lin in a second attempt, the player can interact with Taka, who mutters a resigned "this is fine" before dying. Titania, who is haunted by her action, vows to take care of Taka's body after her gym fight with the player.

The Void[]

When the player is trapped in Gossip Gardevoir's void, Taka can be seen in a scene with Luna and their parents, Solaris and Elias.

When the player is trapped in Gossip Gardevoir's void, Taka can be seen in a scene with Luna and their parents, Solaris and Elias. If the player defeated Solaris' Garchomp on Pyrous Mountain, Taka appears before the player, seemingly fading in and out of existence. He expresses his wish to be more like the player and implores them not to forget him. He then vanishes.

Agate City[]

Taka appears again just before the player's battle against Solaris in Agate City. After the player defeats Solaris, Sirius mocks him for being incompetent and compares him to Taka. Taka then steps up and rescues Ciel and Samson, openly betraying Team Meteor, which leads to Sirius chasing him down.

Taka does not appear here on this route.

Labradorra City - Labradorra Arena[]

The player encounters Taka at an abandoned building during the Labradorra raid, with one of his eyes damaged and bandaged. He laments that his betrayal would lead to such a fate but still does not regret his choice. Victoria helps him walk out of the building.

Later during the raid, Taka confronts his father, Solaris, and tells him that he can't work for Team Meteor anymore. Solaris tells his son that he needs to be more assertive even in rejecting Team Meteor, insisting that Taka still lacks resolve even now that he's trying to choose his own path. Once Taka leaves, Solaris remarks that he's glad Taka's abandoning the "sinking ship" that is Meteor now that Lin has seized control.

During the Labradorra Tournament, Taka is paired with Zero against Cal and Victoria. He is referred to by Terra as "THE LITTLE SPERM THAT COULDN'T". In accordance with his expectation of being "cannon fodder", they lose in the very first round.

Taka does not appear here on this route.

Taka does not appear here on this route; however, a cardboard cutout of Taka is assigned to fight alongside Zero in the first round of the Labradorra Tournament against Victoria and Cal. After Zero complains about getting a piece of cardboard as his partner, Terra tells him that it's the player's fault for abandoning him in the desert to die. Taka is referred to by Terra as "THE LITTLE SPERM THAT COULDN'T".

Charous Mountain - Vacant Past - Charous Hall[]

At the peak of Charous Mountain, Taka is found reflecting. He claims that his father had told him of a temple dedicated to Arceus, which once existed in the same place as the current Pokemon League. It was run by Taka’s grandparents. He doubts Solaris would have wanted them to see how he turned out as their grandchild. Not long after, Taka takes notice of the Celebi besides them, noting that it seems rough, as if it's sick. He is able to inform the player of what Celebi is because he read his grandfather’s books, which were filled with information on medicine and Legendary Pokemon. As he laments the unfortunate events that happened in Charous Mountain, Taka hands the player a Fresh Water to water the Celebi. He speculates that it may give it enough strength to go back to the time period it belongs in, but worries about what may happen to him in that journey. His idea works out, and Celebi takes both himself and the player to the past.

All three of them reappear in the old temple, before Charous Hall existed. Taka warns the player about his grandfather being "a stickler". He steps forward as he is greeted by him, and asks him for help. His grandfather agrees to help him, introducing himself as Taube Alcantara. Taube almost immediately notices Celebi’s identity. Taka introduces the player as the important one, and himself as someone irrelevant, merely along for the ride. Taube disagrees with the notion, drawing attention to Celebi’s faith in the player as well as Taka. He also mentions his newborn, which Taka knows to be his father. Taka thanks Taube for wanting to help them, and clarifies that the player is also Reborn's Champion. Taube walks to the arena, awaiting the player’s challenge. Taka decides to watch, overwhelmed with the experience of meeting his grandfather not long after his father’s birth. He also likely wonders why Taube is so compassionate compared to his father, and if skill in battle truly runs in his family.

When the battle ends, Taka congratulates Taube on his noteworthy skill. Taube assures that he isn’t someone special, but rather has amazing Pokemon. Among these is a Chatot, which Taka believes to possibly be the one his own Chatot is descended from. Taube, Taka, and the player all descend to the temple’s garden to meet Celebi.

The garden’s size and variety greatly impresses Taka, who regrets having little for himself compared to his family. He also regrets Charous Hall replacing the temple. Both Taka and Taube congratulate the player for defeating Celebi. Once again, Taka thanks Taube for their help, and apologizes for keeping him from his newborn. In response, Taube speaks on how great his hope and faith on Solaris is, calling him the sky’s “brightest star”, who will guide the region to a better future. This disturbs Taka, who ends up wishing to leave.

Celebi’s next time travel takes Taka and the player slightly forward in time, but still in the past. Thus, they find themselves in the first Elite Four room of Charous Hall, which is occupied by Elena Molinar. Taka speaks about Solaris, telling the player that his real name was Phoenix. Elena finds them, and bombards Taka with questions. Before he can fully answer any one question, she asks another, however. Taka comments on how intense she is, but finds it sad that he can’t tell her how tragic the future will be for her and Corey. Before long, Celebi regains its strength, and takes Taka and the player to a closer past to the present.

Now inside the fourth Elite Four chamber, Taka is able to understand that Corey (or Agent Borealis, as he knew him) was empty because he lost Elena. The player and Taka hear a voice farther ahead, which Taka recognizes as Ame’s. Once they approach her, Ame mistakes them for state officers, seeking to apprehend her for trying to take in Cleffa plushes from Anna’s chamber. She looses to the player, and Taka takes the opportunity to explain their situation to Ame. In this time, Celebi recovers its strength once more, sending Taka and the player to the future of their present, ten years later.

Now inside the Champion’s chamber, the three time travelers are found by Heather. At first, Taka confuses her for Elena, given their near-equal appearances. Heather reveals to them that their current Champion predicted their arrival, and thus sought the Relic Stone. She also reassures Taka that he was missed by many. Taka makes a question about the Champion’s identity, and Heather takes them to Reborn's future Champion. On their way, Taka continues to feel surprised about having been missed by people. Taka is also surprised to see Shelly is the new Champion. Before returning, however, Shelly requests the player to battle her formally as Champion. Taka is relieved not to be the player, since everyone they’ve met thus far has tried to challenge them. He also recognizes Reborn is filled with great trainers, since they were able to maintain and better it without the player. After Shelly is defeated, she offers to take them to Agate City to meet everyone else. Taka expresses his gratitude for that, and for helping them with Celebi. He also wonders if he was missed at all by those who will be in Agate City. However, he remembers Taube wouldn’t want him to doubt that people care about him, so he instead hopes he wasn’t missed too much. Taka is then taken with the player and Celebi by Shelly to Agate City.

Malchous Forest battle speech
Pre-battle speech
[???]: Hey there.

[???]: I figured you'd show up eventually. Come here.

[???]: You came here 'cause of this thing, right?

[???]: It's a real shame, huh. Tangrowth's caused a lot of damage. Both lives and homes have been lost.

[???]: My name's Taka. What's yours?

[Taka]: <player>. Thought so.

[Taka]: So you're the one who stopped the PULSE in Obsidia...

[Taka]: ...You look confused. You aren't familiar with the PULSE Project?

[Taka]: Pokemon Ultimation Link-System Exaggerata...

[Taka]: Basically, it morphs into the Pokemon, and amplifies its power...

[Taka]: So any old Pokemon can become super charged. All the destruction in Jasper is because of this machine right here.

[Taka]: There is a drawback, though... Turns out destroying a whole city region is pretty hard on a Pokemon's body.

[Taka]: You know, part of me want to just set this thing free. That'd be nice, right?

[Taka]: Unfortunately, I have orders to contrary...

[Taka]: ... After all, I'm with Team Meteor...

[Taka]: By the way, one of my orders is to eliminate you, so don't take personally or anything, all right?

Post-battle speech
[Taka]: ...So that's it, is it...

[Taka]: What a loss.

[Taka]: You know, Jasper might slowly return to normal, but there's another machine like this up in the Beryl Ward.

[Taka]: It's not really my place to say this, but you might wanna check it out.

[Taka]: Peace.

Beryl Ward battle speech
Pre-battle speech
[Zel]: You!

[Taka]: Oh, hey.

[???]: What is it now?

[Taka]: This is the trainer that defeated the PULSE in Jasper.

[Taka]: I invited <player> to come here so we could deal with this issue thoroughly. See?

[zEl]: <player> is also responsible for destroying the PULSE in Obsidia.

[???]: Ah. That was you.

[???]: An alley cat parading as a tiger.

[???]: Heroism is vainglory.

[???]: But you will learn. You've stepped out of your alley, and into the world.

[???]: I will introduce you to the cold pain of reality.

[???(2nd)]: Hold it right there!

[Taka]: Hey, isn't that---

[zEl]: Heather, daughter to the Beryl Ward Gym Leader and--

[???]: I know all too well who she is. But why is she here?

[Heather]: What kind of question is that?!

[Heather]: I'm stopping you evil people, duh!

[???]: How reckless. Weren't you raised to be more responsible?

[Heather]: Who cares?!

[Heather]: People try to stop me from doing things all the time but their true rules are totally stupid anyway!

[???]: Just because you do not understand something does not make it 'stupid'.

[???]: You will learn, someday.

[Heather]: Would you just shut up!?

[Heather]: I'm here to beat you up, not get lectured, so shut up!

[???]: Taka, ZEL. Deal with <player> and protect the PULSE.

[???]: Leave the girl to me.

[Taka]: Sure thing.

[zeL]: Um, I guess I have to... Sorry, <player>, but...

[Zel]: But it's payback time!

Post-battle speech
[Taka]: Well, that's not good.

[zEl]: The PULSE has been deactivated. There is no longer any purpose in defending this location.

[Taka]: In that case, I'm just gonna make myself scare. You coming?

[zeL]: Um... I... I guess so...

Azurine Island battle speech
Pre-battle speech

[Taka]: Yes, yes... Camerupt is ready. Let's get going shortly, all right?

[Taka]: Oh, hey, <player>. Didn't expect to see you down here.

[Cain]: Heyyy, <player>!

[Taka]: Oh, yeah. Guess you came here for your friend, huh?

[Taka]: Sorry about that. We were kinda ordered to capture him, and well, he happened to be sailing right by, sooo... yeah.

[Cain]: I am but a damsel, imprisoned and distressed! <player>, save me, my darling prince!

[Taka]: But how did you find us? This island was meant to be for breeding Pokemon and repopulating the region, but since we closed it nobody should be coming here.

[Taka]: Even this building was just an obseravation center-- Well, before we hijacked it anyway.

[Cain]: Yeah, and now they're trying to attack Apophyll!

[Taka]: Well... Yeah, that's the plan. Take a PULSE up there, take Camerupt up there. You probably know, Pyrous Mountain is the last active volcano in Reborn.

[Taka]: So we just have Camerupt use a little Eruption attack, and that's bye-bye Apophyll. That's one pocket of civillization wiped off the map and off our to-do list.

[Taka]: Anyway, we were also ordered to capture you. And since you sorta just waltzed in here... Yeah, that's a thing.

Post-battle speech

[Taka]: Welp, I tried.

[Taka]: Looks like I don't have a choice but to let you go this time, huh?

[Taka]: Team Meteor, prepare to retreat. Bring Camerupt with us.

[Taka]: ...And I guess we just have to hope <player> doesn't try to stop us. It'd be a right shame if they did. Saving all those people... Tsk, tsk.

[Taka]: We'll see you up there, <player>.

Water Treatment Center battle speech
Pre-battle speech
[Taka]: Easy there, killer...

[Taka]: The least you could do is show some gratitude.

[Titania]: For what, your complete lack of spine?

[Taka]: I mean... if you wanna look at it that way.

[Taka]: But I figured you's appreciate that I've taken the liberty of have her wounds treated.

[Titania]: That's not the only thing you've taken.

[Taka]: Ohhh, that't what this is about.

[Titania]: Give me the Sapphire Bracelets.

[Taka]: Sure. Catch.

[Titania]: You're pathetic.

[Taka]: Maybe, but, hey.

[Taka]: My dad's on his way over to collect that. I kinda had to radio it in before.

[Taka]: Sooooo you might have to deal with that soon.

[Titania]: I'm willing to accept that responsibility.

[Titania]: Give my regards to the men who treated her.

[Taka]: I would, but you kinda already killed them.

[Titania]: ...Right. Well...

[Titania]: Tough.

[Titania]: So you're just going to let us walk out of here with Amy and the bracelets?

[Taka]: Yup.

[Taka]: Well, actually, I do have one favor to ask.

[Taka]: I kinda need <player> to beat me in battle.

[Taka]: Gotta at least look like I tried.

[Titania]: Just save yourself the embarrassment and resign already.

[Titania]: You're only making a fool of everyone involved.

[Taka]: Then I'm a fool.

[Taka]: But I can't just walk out on my destiny.

[Titania]: Door's right here. No one's stopping you.

[Taka]: My blood is.

[Taka]: And my father-- do you have any idea what he would do?

[Taka]: Do you have any idea how he would feel?

[Titania]: Probably slightly better than the countless people he's hurt.

[Taka]: ...Look, just forget about it.

[Taka]: Hurry up, beat me, and get out of here already.

[Titania]: If you're not going to stop us, I'm not going to enable you to keep cowering from your choices.

[Titania]: If we defeat you, we just let you go on like this.

[Taka]: Please... I've done every courtesy I could for you down here.

[Taka]: Do me this one favor.

[Titania]: I'm done with your games.

[Titania]: Let's go, <player>.

[Taka]: <player>.

[Taka]: Please... I'm begging you.

[Taka]: Will you defeat me? {Yes/No}

Answered yes
[Taka]: Right. Let's hurry.
Answered no (No battle)

[Taka]: ...I see...

[Taka]: I guess I really am the odd one out when it comes to these sorts of things, trying to show mercy and all that...

[Taka]: But hey.

[Taka]: If skinning the black sheep makes you happy, whatever.

[Taka]: I'm out.

Post-battle speech

[Taka]: Then, everything's gonna be just fine.

[Taka]: You should get outta here quickly though.

[Taka]: I get the feeling your friend's gonna need you.

[Taka]: See ya... and, good luck.

Tourmaline Desert battle speech
Pre-battle speech
[Taka]: I was really hoping you wouldn't show up.

[Taka]: <player>, I...

[Taka]: I'm sorry.

[Taka]: I-- have to stop you here.

[Taka]: If I don't...

[Taka]: They're gonna say something like, there's no reason for me to stay, right?

[Taka]: They're probably already--

[Taka]: Or she's probably already...

[Taka]: ...watching us from somewhere.

[Taka]: I don't-- have a choice anymore.

[Taka]: As if I ever did.

Post-battle speech
[Taka]: ...and not against them.

[Taka]: So I guess that's it.

[Taka]: This'll probably be the last time you have to deal with me.

[Taka]: Sorry.

[Taka]: ...but you can.

[Taka]: You've always been standing up to us.

[Taka]: And you've always been winning.

[Taka]: You're gonna keep doing that, aren't you? {Yes/No}

Answered yes
[Taka]: Yeah. You always do, huh.

[Taka]: Did you ever even think to do anything else?

[Taka]: Cuz I don't think I have.

[Taka]: I never thought anything could change, but here you are.

[Taka]: You rocked the boat and I've fallen out of it.

[Taka]: Splash.

[Taka]: But where does that leave me?

[Taka]: When I go back a failure again, I won't get another chance.

[Taka]: And you...

[Taka]: ...will keep fighting.

[Taka]: Can I come with you? {Yes/No}

[Taka]: Really?

[Taka]: All right, here's the plan:

[Taka]: I don't have a single clue.

[Taka]: So I'm just gonna follow you for now, okay?

[Taka]: I'll try not to get in your way.

[Taka]: And uh, I kinda took a bunch of healing items from base before they sent me here...

[Taka]: So I'll heal the player's Pokemon whenever you need, okay?

[Taka]: If I can find somewhere safe to hide, I think I'll lay low there for a while.

[Taka]: Maybe long enough that I'll get off that woman's radar.

[Taka]: After that... let's beat Team Meteor together.

[Taka]: I'll follow your lead, <player>.

Answered no (whether you'll keep winning)

[Taka]: Hey, is that humility or just a joke?

[Taka]: You're startin' to sound like me.

[Taka]: Maybe we're not so different.

[Taka]: Maybe...

[Taka]: Maybe I can be more like you.

Answered no (whether Taka can come with you)

[Taka]: Yeah, I'd just be in the way, right?

[Taka]: I get it.

[Taka]: I guess this is it then.

[Taka]: See ya, <player>.

When accompanying you in Tourmaline Desert
  • When in Tourmaline desert
    • (When picking up Focus Sash) Think someone dropped this from up in the Beryl Ward? I'd try it on, but I already got my scarf. By the way, do yourself a favor and never wear a scarf to a desert.
    • (When picking up a Poké Ball near Beryl Bridge) So what, did someone just drop all these here by accident or what?
      • (When picking up the hidden Poké Ball) Eh? There was one buried under the sand there too?
    • (When interacting with an Exeggutor blocking the way to TM93) Wait, that wasn't a tree? Well, I guess I can't really blame them. I, too, would love to bury myself half-underground and do nothing for hours on end.
    • (When picking up Volt Switch) Why can Pokémon learn moves from discs like this anyway? And more importantly, can I do the same? Uh, not this move though. Too much energy.
    • (When interacting with a destroyed statue the inscription of which is far too destroyed to read) Mood.
    • (When picking up the Stone Plate) So, was this part of the rock or was it just left here by coincidence?
    • (When picking up Bulk Up) How did this car even get all the way over here? How did any of these trains even get where they are? And how did I-- Maybe I'm just another train.
    • (When picking up Max Elixir) I feel bad for these Pokémon. I guess the sands will give them a proper burial in time. That's probably all I can ask for, too.
    • (When picking up Relic Copper) So, do you just pick up any old junk you find? I guess that's why I'm here too, haha.
    • (Upon interacting with the first oasis) Wait, what? Uh, so was that just a mirage? There's no way we could've walked up that close and touched it if it were just that, right? I'm... confused.
    • (Upon interacting with the second oasis) I'm not going to get used to that.
    • (Upon interacting with the third oasis) Frankly, that's a metaphor for my life.
    • (Upon interacting with Marcello at the lemonade stand) Taka: So you just... sell lemonade out here by yourself? Marcello: Yup. Taka: That can't be a very profitable business. Marcello: It's more profitable than whatever you're doing. Taka: ... Taka: Yeah, no. That's fair. I'll take two. Here, <player>. This one's one me.
    • (Upon defeating the Exeggutor next to Marcello) I have a lot of questions about what just happened. Most of them are "why".
    • (When picking up Dragonium-Z) This has answered exactly none of my questions. In fact, I have even more now.
  • When in Teknite Ridge or Teknite Cave
    • (Upon entering Teknite Cave) Whew, it's good to be out of that mess out there. But what is this place? You... don't have any idea either, don't you? Well, here we go again.
    • (When picking up a hidden Tamato berry) Hey, are you gonna eat that?
    • (When entering Teknite Cave 2F) Oh, that's it? Never mind then, I thought it would be bigger.
    • (When picking up the Dawn Stone) Well, that's nice, I guess.
    • (After transforming 2F into a crystal room) Wait, what? I-- <player>, you're not slipping me 'Rare Candies', are you? (When interacting with the changing crystal) What. What are you doing? (Use Rock Smash 1x) No, really. What in the world are you doing? (Use Rock Smash 2x) ... Sooooooo... Do you always just punch your way through things when they're in the way?
      • (Say Yes) Oh... Well, all right.
        • (If you answered Yes and Rock Smash through a passage to 4F) I see what you mean about having to punch through everything.
      • (Say No) I'm not sure if I believe that.
        • (If you answered No and break a crystal in 3F) You're really not doing a great job of convincing me on this whole "not punching through everything" thing.
        • (If you then Rock Smash through a passage to 4F) Like, it's okay, you know? You can tell me. Even if all you do is punch through things, I won't judge you or anything.
    • (When you transform 3F into a crystal room) It looks nicer like this anyway.
    • This would be a decent place to hide... if it weren't for the ton of Pokémon strolling about. I may have many healing items, but I still only have so many healing items.
    • Somehow everywhere we go looks amazing to me. Maybe living for myself means finally seeing the world.
    • Looking at a place like this, I get the feeling anything could be beyond it. Maybe this is where I run.
    • Something is off in the energy of this place... I wonder what it is that makes it so unstable? Then again, same.
    • (When entering western Teknite Ridge) Well, this is surprisingly nice out here... I guess all that punching was worth it after all.
    • (When picking up Mawilite) Gotta wonder what something like that is doing all the way out here. But then again, mood.
      • (With a relationship variable of 6 or higher) I'm glad you're all the way out here with me too, <player>.
    • (When picking up Swords Dance) This might be as far as we can go here... But at least the view is nice. Maybe if I can run far over the horizon... Then we'll finally learn to be happy.
      • (With a relationship variable of 6 or higher) This might be as far as we can go here... But at least the view is nice. This might be weird, but... I'm glad I could see it with you. Maybe if I can run far over the horizon... Then we'll finally learn to be happy.
    • (When entering eastern Teknite Ridge) Wow, despite being above the desert, it's almost chilly out here. Must be that breeze. Um, some of these rocks look precarious... I'm not really good with heights, but I'll try to follow you as best as I can.
    • (After using Tailwind) Ehh? It just got that much more windy? A breeze like this could blow you right off the mountain. Or... across it, maybe? That feels like a stretch though.
    • (When picking up PP Max) I feel like I can see half the world from here. Or maybe it's just bigger than my world's ever been.
    • (When picking up the Rowlett egg) There was an egg here? Is it really okay to just take that? Then again, with gusts this strong, that egg might very well have had a big fall and not been put together again. And you know, frankly, same.
      • (With a relationship variable of 6 or higher) ...Thanks for taking us in, <player>.
    • (When picking up Ice Memory) I'm not sure what's more unsafe: Hopping across all this rock like it's a thing people do, or the entire rest of my life.
    • (When picking up Pidgeotite) Remember that time I said crossing the mountain using the wind was a stretch? Consider me stretched.
    • (When entering Teknite Cave 3-4F) There's a place like this out here? It's not going to disappear when we approach it, right? Um... by the way, just so you know, I can't swim. Father didn't exactly deign to enroll me in the afterschool swimming club as a kid. Sorry.
    • (After activating the crystal bridge) Oh. That's convenient. No swimming necessary. Or punching, for that matter.
    • (When interacting with Buginium-Z) A dead end, huh? Deja vu. At least, there's this, I guess.
  • When in Sugiline Cave
    • (When first entering Sugiline Cave) A cavern in the sand, huh... I'm not sure how this place doesn't just cave in on itself, but I could say the same about myself. Seems good. I guess we'll be less likely to be found in here.
    • (When jumping down a sand pit) <player>, did you fall down here on purpose? We're never getting out of here now, are we? Dibs on the left side of the cave.
    • (When first entering the room with the stairs to the Sugiline Ruin) Wait... I think I know this place. <player>, let's get a closer look.
      • (When interacting with a statue) I was here before... The statue wasn't broken then. How long ago was it...?
      • (When interacting with the second statue) I don't think I can read this, but I definitely recognize it. Why...?
      • (When trying to go up the stairs) There should be stairs here. I guess they've flattened out to this slide to keep others out again. ..."Again"? Hm... <player>, can we look around some more? There should definitely be a way to get past here.
      • (When interacting with the statue next to the temple entrance) I can't even read this... What's the point?
    • (When jumping in a pit brings you back to the entrance) Wait, isn't this the entrance? How did we get back here? ...And does this mean I don't get the left half?
    • (When interacting with the western Arceus statue) There should be some kind of button on this statue... There it is! It should be the key to moving forward. Go ahead and press it, <player>!
    • (When interacting with the eastern Arceus statue) There'll be a button here... Yeah, go ahead and press it. Then we can keep going. (If you press the button) ...Nothing? I guess we have to hit the second one too. I vaguely recall doing this before... with my father.
    • (When entering the Garchomp room in the Sugiline Ruin) I remember now. When I was young, my father took me here with him once. It was before he really got involved starting Team Meteor. We explored these ruins together looking for something... To be honest, it's one of the very few positive memories I actually have of him... ...But I feel uneasy about this room. I can't remember why, but I feel like we should be careful.
      • (When triggering the Garchomp statues) Hey, <player>? I remembered why. Run!
      • (When entering the Sugiline Ruin the second time) Do we realllly have to do this again?
    • (When entering the room behind the Garchomp room) All right, heart attack over? Yeah? Years shaved off of life? Yeah. I don't think they'll follow us out here. I can't believe I forgot about that... He told me at the time it was some kind of trial left for us by our family... I can't help but think that was absolutely not necessary.
    • (When interacting with a statue) I remember seeing this before... How long ago was it?
    • (When interacting with another statue) I think this says something about a "guardian legacy"? It's way too faded to read.
    • (When interacting with another statue) This one's in pretty good condition... except for the inscription. ... Yeah, I got nothing.
    • (When interacting with another statue) This says something about... a "tradition of honor"? ...No wonder my father always said such boring things.
    • (When picking up TM71 Stone Edge) Stone Edge, huh... I wonder if this was his TM. If he left it here... He probably intended me to use it someday. You should take it. I'm not going to live up to his corrupted legacy anyway.
    • (When interacting with the lightshard) After that last room, I could go for another five of those.
    • (When interacting with the Arceus statue) Another one... Yeah, seems like there's a button here, too. Go ahead. [Yes/No] Not gonna lie, I was high-key worried I just condemned us both to death by having you press this place's self-destruct button. Let's see... Oh, it looks like there are some sand pits in the ground where there weren't before.
    • (When dropping down to the floor below) There was somewhere below there too... Oh, I remember! This was where my father met his Garchomp! Well-- it was just a Gible at that time. And-- Oh... I had forgotten... he tried to get one for me too. But I didn't want it. I don't remember why. When we left, he said that I ruined the whole trip by not catching one... ... So much for a positive memory. I forgot about that entirely. Maybe I should have just gone with it even though I didn't want to. I was just a kid. I probably didn't have much of a reason. ...But then again, maybe refusing to take the Pokémon left for me by our bloodline was just proof that I'd eventually leave them and come here with you. So I still don't want it. But, if you want to look for a Pokémon like that, I'll support you. I think it may not come out through normal means... I remember something about having to leave an offering and then coming back later...
      • (When interacting with the stone dais) If we're talking about an offering, these basins are probably where it was left. There seem to be a lot of them... I wonder if this was a place for many more people in the past. My father said our family used to be much larger and much more influential. Falling into decline is just the way of the world. Anyway, if you happen to have anything Pokémon might like, try putting it there. (If you fill the basin with PokéSnax) That should be enough. Hopefully something will come by for it.
      • (After catching a Gible) You got it, huh? You know, I'm kind of glad. I don't care about family or tradition or anything like that, but it would be sad if this place and that Pokémon were forgotten altogether. So, consider this a gift from me. I give you my history, so that I don't need to walk in its shadow anymore.
      • (If you fled the fight with Gible or K.O.'ed it) Ahhhh, it got away after all? Maybe it'll come back later if there's more food...
    • (When picking up Medichamite) Given that room upstairs, I was expecting a Garchompite. Then again, there's no way my father wouldn't have that...
    • This place feels like a huge deja vu trip for me somehow...
    • How does something like this even keep from collapsing in on itself? Sorry, I wasn't talking about the cave-- I meant myself.
    • There has to be something more here... Or else why would I be remembering this?
    • I swear, one of these sand pits is gonna have a Trapinch at the bottom, and that's gonna be the end of us.
  • When near Mirage Tower (Outside)
    • (If you have not yet interacted with three oases' yet and pick up Return) What's up with this place? The water probably isn't even drinkable... I guess I'd try in a pinch though.
    • By the way, do you have any idea where you're going? I mean, if not, it's cool. Frankly, I've never once in my life known where I was going.
    • (At night time only) This place isn't so bad during the night, huh? If you can get past all the sand. And the... Actually I guess that's about all there is here, huh.
    • My heart's racing from escaping like this. Well, either that or a heat stroke.
    • Nobody's following us, right?
    • Listen, if you see anyone suspicious, just bury me in the sand and come back for me later.
  • When inside Mirage Tower
    • (When first entering 1F) I feel like I've seen this place before... <player>, can we check it out?
    • (When interacting with the sliding block) This thing looks like it will slide across the floor. But what to do with it... You wanna just try stuff, <player>?
      • (After solving the F1 puzzle) Oh, so that opened a path upwards. There's probably more like this going upwards, too. I don't really get this mechanism too well... so I'll be counting on you.
    • (When entering 2F) Regardless of if I've been here or not, the architecture in this place is the same as the Citadel... That should mean that this place was made by my ancestors too.
      • (After solving the F2 puzzle) Well, that's not quite what I was expecting to appear...
    • (When entering 3F) Uh... Did we take a wrong turn?
      • (After solving the F3 puzzle) This place is so weird. It might have been made by my forebearers, but why make it so confusing?
    • (When entering 4F) It seem to get worse as we go up, too. Did they make it like that on purpose?
      • (After solving the 4F puzzle) Okay, where is it this time?
    • (When entering 6F) Wait, did we just skip a floor entirely?
    • (When entering 5F) Aaaand we're back. I'm getting dizzy from all of this.
      • (After solving the 5F puzzle) I feel like that shouldn't even be physically possible.
    • (When entering 6F via 5F) This is like the mirror funhouse I never go to go to as a kid.
    • (When the 6F exit drops you in front of the Mirage Tower) Wait, what?! Why are we back outside now? What was even the point? Did we make a wrong turn somewhere?
    • (When entering the top of the Mirage Tower) Is... it over? This looks like it might be the top.
      • (When interacting with the front of the stone table) The text on here is way too faded to read... All I can see is something about "being chosen" and "distortion"?
      • (When interacting with the back of the stone table) This is... ... I remember now. My father took me here once, when I was very young. He told me a story about our family. A long time ago, Arceus created the world as we know it. He also had to retroactively create the method for his arrival on that world. This was the meteor which our family dedicated themselves and their culture to protecting. But there was another legendary Pokémon that appeared in Reborn, too-- Giratina. It appeared here after the world's creation, and its very presence began to distort Arceus' holy ground. So, that legendary Pokémon became the enemy of our ancestors. They fought, and they won, and supposedly, Giratina left the region forever. But even today, there are many distortions in Reborn that could be said to be caused by Giratina's past influence. This tower... isn't one of them. I remember my father telling me that our ancestors made this place to train themselves to withstand Giratina's distortions. After the Pokémon's defeat, it became a tradition to climb the tower. And enshrined at the top was... That. <player>, go ahead. Take it. (Yes/No)
        • (If answered Yes) The original weapon that defeated Giratina... ...is probably not that one. Who knows if something like that could even still be around by now? But at the least, this should be similar. Maybe a descendant, like I am. But... I'm not suited to this. I may have the slayer's blood in me, but by now, even water must be thicker than it. So whether you end up turning that sword on Giratina or Arceus, I want you to take it. Come on, let's get out of here.
        • (If answered No) What, really? All this and you won't even take it?
        • (If you interact with the sword after saying No) Did you change your mind? Go ahead. Take it.
    • (After breaking all the mirrors to unlock B1F) I'm starting to think you might be repressing some seriously destructive impulses. ...Anyway, it looks like this hole leads downwards. Do we really have to go down there?
      • (If you earlier answered Yes in Teknite Cave) Listen, <player>, I'm starting to think you might have a punching addiction. This is an intervention. We can get you help. ...Anyway, it looks like this hole leads downwards. Do we really have to go down there?
    • (When entering B1F) I don't like this place...
      • (With a relationship variable of 6 or higher) I don't like this place... ...But as long as you're here, I should be okay.
    • (When picking up Poison Memory) Hey, um, can we get out of here now?
    • (After fighting or catching Mimikyu) <player>? What were you fighting just then? I don't think there was anything there, but you kept acting like there was...
    • For somewhere that only half-exists and is tossed out in the middle of who knows how many miles of sand, this place is pretty tidy.
    • If you ask me, this place is entirely too clean.
    • I still don't really get that whole sliding block puzzle, but I'm glad you do. I bet it would be a lot easier if you could see it from above....Is that your secret?
    • This doesn't seem like it would be a bad place to hide, but...Maybe I just don't want to be alone after all.
  • When in 1R253 Scrapyard
    • (When first entering a scrapyard train) Well, this place is almost nostalgic. Not that I've been here before, or anything. But the smell of rust and concrete... and the thin layer of dust that tracks everywhere you step... I've spent a lot of nights in a room like this.
    • (When first entering 1R253 Scrapyard) By the way, you're out here for a gym battle? Is there really a gym out in this clusterfuck?
    • (When steering a train the first time) Whoaaah, okay crazymaker, watch where you're steerin' that thing...
    • (When steering a train the second time) Remind me to never let you drive me anywhere again... Actually, it wouldn't be such a bad end with you.
    • (When steering a train the third time) You're doing this on purpose, aren't you...
    • (After steering a train into the upper scrapyard level) I think I want off of <player>'s wild ride...
    • I relate to these trains on a spiritual level.
    • You think there's food in some of these trains?
    • I always wanted to crash trains into a pile of scrap metal. Being with you makes dreams come true, or something.
    • Is there really anything out here in this mess? Like, I get there's supposed to be a Gym here, but... why.
  • When talked to from anywhere
    • It feels wrong, traveling with someone who was supposed to be my enemy...But then again, my entire life has been wrong. So this feels right after all.
    • I wonder how long it'll take the others to realize I'm not coming back. If they haven't already, anyway...
    • ZEL is gonna get chewed out because of me...Father had asked them to keep tabs on me when they weren't working on the PULSEs. Then again, I heard Zero's not doing too well lately.
    • I know Team Meteor's track record isn't exactly the best, But they're still the only family I've ever had.
    • You know, Meteor wasn't always like this...Originally we just looked after the Citadel. My dad said that his parents were more like shrinekeepers than anything.
    • <player>, I'm sorry for always being such a burden.
    • None of this would have happened if not for that woman...She's corrupted Team Meteor-- both our ends and our means.
    • My father says none of this would have happened if not for that woman...The Champion of Reborn, who created the League and advertised it across the world like some kind of fairground. She closed up the old city's wounds, hiding the Citadel again. Regardless of anyone's ideals, why bother just building over a ruin instead of preserving it? That sounds like something I'd pull.
    • My father says that whatever happens to Reborn City is its own fault. After my grandparents' death, the founders built Reborn City on top of the holy Citadel, trying to hide it. It was the ultimate insult to our forebearers' culture. Or whatever that's supposed to mean.
    • Hey, in your travels, did you ever meet a girl named Luna? She was one of my only friends growing up. Then she ran away...Just like me now, I guess. I think about her a lot.
    • Hey, this is just a random question, but you know Luna, right? If you see her again, tell her--...Actually, never mind. I kind of think it's my fault that she's become as delusional as she is...After all, if I hadn't been born, she wouldn't have had to be in that position.
    • Hey, <player>, what are your parents like? You've seen how my father is. And my mother-- was just that. She was hired to have me, and then she went on her way. But that's not normal... right?
    • I know he's done no shortage of destructive things, but my father isn't all bad. His dream for Reborn is what his childhood was like-- a small community in reverence to our world's creator. The one who's really dangerous is Lin.
    • Do you think my father will be okay? He's been harsh with me, but only out of concern. I'm the one that just can't get it together. Not faithfully, anyway...
    • ...Oh, sorry <player>, did you say something? I totally spaced out.
    • I hope my father doesn't take it too hard when he gets the news. He never really got over losing his parents like he did. He's always in fear of losing things from the past. That's why he fights so hard for Reborn's history.
    • Lin's not following us, right? That woman never talks except when she's giving orders or spitting on others. She's more like a robot than a human, but even less empathetic.
    • Everything is Lin's fault...That woman is chaos inside and out. Did you know she's narcoleptic? I can't tell you how many times we've found her collapsed in some random place. And no matter what we do, she won't wake up except on her own.
    • Do you hate my father?
      • If answered Yes
        • I know he's not exactly a shining beacon of morals... But he's always fighting for his own ideals. That was something I never could do. Until now, I guess.
      • If answered No
        • Even after everything? ...Thank you.
    • He may be subordinate to my father, but you should watch out more for Sirius than for him. He's always had the "history is written by the winners" mindset, but since he's fallen in with Lin, it's gotten much worse.
    • Elias will probably be looking for me too... I don't want to be found by anyone, but at least Elias is loyal to my father. I can't imagine having someone act towards me the way he does to my father. I deserve that least of all.
    • You had something to do with that doctor guy joining us recently, right? That guy creeps me out so much. He's almost stalking Lin, like he's obsessed with her or something.
    • Everyone connected to Lin is crazy. Like that girl, Terra. Everyone talks about her like her technical ability is unrivaled, But she's almost never around the bases, and then when she is, we end up having to repair a ton of stuff. But Lin always insists she stays anyway.
    • You remember that guy who was with ZEL and I when we fought in Beryl? Back then, some of the grunts were saying you killed him. He wasn't the friendliest guy. In fact, he never stayed to talk, or did orders he didn't have to, and he argued with Sirius all the time. But even then... you wouldn't do something like that, right?
    • You know, I think there's someone in Team Meteor who really had it out for you-- more than normal, that is. Elias brought in this new recruit, and for a while he was always saying how he was going to get back at you for something... Then suddenly he changed. Maybe he just got over it?
    • I'm not sure if I'd even still be out here now if it weren't for you and that red-haired menace back at the Water Treatment Center. Thanks for dealing with me all this time.
    • So what's up with that Fern guy? He joined recently, but everyone just complains about him. Weren't you two friends?
    • I'm not the first one you've helped turn tail from Meteor, huh? I heard that Cal went off with you, too. You really have a way of pulling people apart, don't you?
    • So like... what's your secret? Is it why you hardly say anything?
    • Being out here is a lot more interesting than staying cooped up in Meteor's drama, that's for sure. Most of the people around there are the opposite of fun. Well, I guess Blake was pretty funny. He's been with us for a while, and used to look after me when I was younger sometimes. He'd die before he'd admit it, but I think he actually likes kids.
    • You've pretty much ransacked all of our bases by now, huh...Lin's been moving everything into Labradorra. Before that, we mostly stuck around the Devon Building, the Workstation, and the Sanctum. Most of my childhood memories are around those places.
    • Listen, <player>... We have one more base up in the Carnelia Region-- besides Labradorra City, that is. I feel like, even if I tell you not to go there, you won't listen. But, seriously... don't go. They'll probably try and lure you there. It would be really bad if you went... and I don't mean for Team Meteor.
    • I really hope Ace is okay... It's not unlike them to disappear for a while, but never for this long... They really livened the place up, and got along with almost everyone. ...Everyone except Terra and Lin, basically.
Scrapyard Dialogue
[???]: Well, howdy, partners!

[???]: We thought we was hearin' some kinda racket,

[???]: But we figured it was just the local Steelix givin' it a good tussle again.

[Taka]: Uhh, nope. No Steelix.

[Taka]: Just two crazy people with a train.

[???]: Well, you know we all been there. Some good ol' fashioned train-joustin' is the best sport we got out here!

[Taka]: That sounds safe.

[???]: Anyway, my name's Europa! Y'all lookin' for a place to rest?

[Taka]: Rest? I don't think I've heard of that before.

[Europa]: Ohh, you joker! We don't exactly get a lot of visitors out here, but there's a few of us who hang together for our own reasons. Some of us are chasin' peace, others fleein' violence. It don't matter who you are though, you're welcome to stay with us as long as you like. We got each other here, and that's all we need.

[Taka]: This... might work out.

[Europa]: Y'all got a story to tell?

[Taka]: <player> probably has several. And I uh... I'm just looking for somewhere safe.

[Europa]: Well, congrats! You found it! If'n you'd like, I can set you up with one of your own personal trains and what few accomodations we've got.

[Taka]: So-- wait, you guys just, live in the trains out here? Cuz you can?

[Europa]: Pretty much!

[Taka]: ...

[Taka]: Yeah, sounds great.

[Taka]: If it's no trouble, that'd be... a big relief.

[Europa]: Well, right this way, sir!

(At this point, Taka leaves the player and no longer follows them around. He can then be found in the eastern part of Train Town.)

[Europa]: What do you think? Certainly needs some TLC, but with a good broom and a bit of elbow grease, should be all hunky-dory.

[Europa]: (to the player) He your boyfriend or somethin'?

[Europa]: (regardless of the answer) Oh, I'm just playin' with ya. But if you lookin' to stay too, the two of you can share, or I'm sure we can find you another car.

(The player enters the train.)

[Taka]: Well, this is perfect.

[Europa]: Y'all like it?

[Taka]: Yeah. This is me.

[Europa]: Then it's all yours! Feel free to clean up or redecorate however you like! And if you need anything, just let me or one of the others know and we'll see what we can do for you. I image y'all are mighty tired, but when you feel up to it, come out and introduce yourselves to the rest of the folk here. Everyone's always excited to meet a new friend! Until then, I'll leave you be. (Europa leaves.)

[Taka]: Maybe I'll take her up on that... Sleep is sounding pretty swell right now. <player>, thanks for bringing me here. I feel like, maybe things will be okay. I guess I'm gonna take a nap, and then... Let's talk more later, okay?

(If you interact with Taka lying on a bench)

[Taka]: I don't know if I'll really be able to sleep, but I sure need to try anyway.

[Taka]: (With a relationship variable of 8 or higher) Mmm... <player>? You're not going too far, right? I feel like... Maybe I could sleep better if you're near by...

Titania's Gym

[Taka]: <player>!

[Taka]: Up here!

[Taka]: I'm so glad to see you. I--

[Taka]: I woke up here, and Lin--

[Taka]: I'm sorry, <player>.

[Taka]: I'm so sorry--

[Taka]: I didn't want her to--

[Taka]: I didn't want this.

[Taka]: I didn't want this...

[Taka]: Please, believe me...

[Taka]: I'm---

[Taka]: I'll try and find a way to you.

[Taka]: I'll-- find a way down.

[Taka]: Just hold on.

[Taka]: Please...

(After Taka gets stabbed by Titania)

[Taka]: <player>...?

[Taka]: ...

[Taka]: Don't worry...

[Taka]: This--

[Taka]: This is fine...

(When interacting with Taka a second time)

There's no response anymore...

In the void (if the player defeated Solaris' Garchomp)

[Taka]: <player>--

[Taka]: I...

[Taka]: I don't want--

[Taka]: To... give up...

[Taka]: I want--

[Taka]: To be able... to fight like you...

[Taka]: Please--

[Taka]: It hurts...

[Taka]: Don't--

[Taka]: Don't forget me...

Trivia[]

  • Taka's name means 'Hawk' in Japanese, a reference to his Chatot. His full name, Mintaka, is a reference to a star within the constellation of Orion.
  • Taka's sprite heavily resembles Morty from the original Pokemon games.
  • When he tags along with in the desert, he reveals several things about himself and Team Meteor:
    • His mother was paid by Solaris to have him.
    • Luna was a childhood friend of his (they grew up together with Lukah/Luna as a servant of the Hazel family to the Alcantara family). Taka also appears to blame himself for Luna's "delusions".
    • Lin is narcoleptic, meaning she falls asleep at random times during the day.
    • Blake used to babysit him when he was younger and apparently likes kids.
    • Solaris asked ZEL to look after Taka when they are not busy with the PULSE.
    • Ace gets along with every member of Team Meteor except Terra and Lin and was said to liven the place up a lot.
    • Taka cannot swim.
  • If you backtrack to Train Town after encountering Lin in Titania's gym in the Reshiram path, Taka will still be in the train with no change in his dialogue.
  • If you talk to Marcello with Taka as your companion, Taka will buy the player a lemonade. (This is only possible through a walk through walls mod.)
  • According to the tabletop notes found in the Sanctum, Taka's tabletop character is Chahkka, a LV 6 druid "winged-one" with a true neutral alignment. He used to play this game with Lumi, Eve, Zero, and Ace, with Terra joining the game at a later date.
  • According to Amethyst, Taka belongs to Reborn user Ice, and gave permission to Amethyst to use him, as well several other characters belonging to him and another user, Will. Chatot as his signature pokemon was also part of the original character (he was also originally supposed to be a flying type specialist, hence the Minior and Gliscor on his team) [1]
