It turns out, the factory was secretly being run by none other than Team Meteor! And more, they were using it to deliberately poison Azurine Lake! What a terrible thing to do! Kiki, formerly a revered teacher at her beach resort Apophyll Academy, which she herself built from the ground up, will be replaced by her apprentice. As it did, the powerplant shut down, leaving the city dark, and soon, abandoned. But our latest report says these earthquakes were never a real problem. Instead, behinf it all was the dastardly Team Meteor! So this means Team Meteor was responsible for shutting down the city years ago! But what could they hope to gain from it?! But in a sudden uprising, the evil organization, Team Meteor, has completely seized control of Labradorra City! Most citizens were safely evacuated, but some are still being held as hostages! However, a resistance is taking shape in Calcenon City on the part of some of Reborn's strongest trainers! Saphira, what are your thoughts on this scenario? [Saphira]: I'm not interested in negotiating with them. We'll find a way around the barrier and take back the hostages. [Gardevoir]: The barrier-- that's right! Team Meteor is employing a special technology... My sources tell me the machine they use is called a PULSE! And they've hooked a Mr. Mime up to it, creating a massive forcefield around Labradorra! [Saphira]: It isn't their only one. We know that they're preparing a second PULSE within the city, and they have two more in the surrounding area. [Gardevoir]: With these mysterious machines amping up their Pokemon's powers, there's no telling what they'll do next! Can anything break the forcefield around Labradorra? With their hyper-charged PULSE Clawitzer, those Mega-Launched blasts are wrecking havoc all over the city! With the barrier still up, there seems to be no hope of counter attack! All is not lost though! Dragon Leader Saphira continues to rebel against Team Meteor as she and her Dragonite try to deflect each attack! Will she be able to hang in there? Thanks to an outpouring of new policies by the city center and the inspiration of one of Reborn's Gym Leader, Adrienn, the city is busting with life! Citizens everywhere have undertaken a massive effort to rebuild and revitalize the ailed metropolis. Here on the scene we're just finishing up some of the structural repairs, and are moving on to make some aesthetic improvements! It's nothing like you would not believe, folks! Hello, everyone~ It's me, everyone's favorite Gardevoir with the latest and greatest in breaking news! And here it is-- Reborn is CHAMPIONLESS! You heard right! Reborn Champion and League Manager Ame has suddenly resigned from her position after an official address to the board of the directors at the Grand Hall. The full address has not yet been made public, but sources say that Ame cited slight physical health concerns as the reason for her departure. As the original force behind the re-opening of the Reborn League and the subsequent repopulation of our fair region, Ame will be missed dearly. Her time defending the Champion was short-lived but fiercely guarded by the Reborn Leaders who collectively didn't allow a single challenger through! Talk about a challenge! But rest assured, trainers, the Reborn League is as open as ever, and there is no better time to take up arms! Management of the Reborn League has passed to capable new hands: Adrienn Flores, Reborn League Fairy Gym Leader and RCRP Administrator, and Victoria Marlow, Reborn League Reserve Fighting Gym Leader and Head Instructor of Apophyll Academy! These two have been irreplaceable in Reborn City's rejuvenation, and the Reborn League shall surely fall safely back into order under their guidance.
