Florinia

I might wish you 'Good luck,' however 'luck' is merely an illusory essentialization of statistics, and is neither inherently good nor bad.

Florinia Sevilla, also known as Rini or Flobot, is the second Gym Leader of the Reborn region, as well as the older sister of Fern. She specializes in the Grass-type and is fought at the Onyx Trainer's School, where she hands out the Canopy Badge, the second Gym Badge the player receives.

In the game

Florinia tends to be a bit emotionally detached and focused on the facts at hand, causing Fern to refer to her as Flobot. Julia remarks that this behaviour is unusual for Florinia, and that the latter hasn't been the same since Titania, although this reference to Titania was removed in Episode 16.

Florinia is first met at the Mosswater Factory in the Peridot Ward, where Julia reveals that the two were friends at school, and Julia makes a point of giving her a better nickname. Florinia serves as a foil to Julia, often looking for a more reasonable solution than simply "booming".

After entering the factory, Florinia suggests that, to work towards both learning more about Team Meteor and working to stop the factory's pollution, the group split up, and heads down the right-hand hallway with Julia. The pairs meet up again at a guarded entrance, where Florinia begins to hack into the security system. (Julia, much to Florinia's disappointment, insists on attempting to blow up the entrance.)

Florinia assists Julia in her battle against a mysterious man, later revealed to be Sirius, but despite Julia's cheerfulness towards her after the battle, Florinia simply states that emotions are "counter-productive" and leaves on her own.

Florinia is encountered again in the Obsidia Ward, first when she allows the player access and again later with Amaria in front of the park. After the three Cut themselves into the park, Amaria and Florinia are captured by ZEL. Upon being released, she gives a flat analysis of the situation, and informs the player she expects them back at her gym.

Florinia later battles alongside the player against Team Meteor when they attack Fiore Mansion.

Dear Diary, This will be my final entry. The retention of emotions has proven veritably counter-productive.   Irrational thoughts and feelings remain a severe detriment to work efficiency.   Moreover, they appear to invariably breed scorn in those with whom they are shared.   This writer has lost much on behalf of these turbulent confounding variables.   Emotional excision has thereby been deemed necessary, beginning with the termination of archival.   Farewell.

Upon gaining control of the facility, and proper permissions following, the institution was hybridized. GARDEVOIR: I see! So in other words, it was your idea to combine them! You must have a real passion for education to be willing to take that on yourself! FLORINIA: Passion is an irrelevant factor. The operation is necessary, and I am able to function adequately.
