Scattered throughout the fields are many Tauros and Bouffalant, all level 47, locked in combat. If you defeat the Tauros, the Bouffalant will charge forward and can remove logs. If you defeat the Bouffalant, the Tauros will let you ride it. While riding the Tauros, you cannot go through very tall grass, but can jump ledges. To proceed with the story, you only need to ride a Tauros across all the ledges and go all the way to the right end of Route 1.
Nature Center[]
On the left end of Route 1 is the Nature Center is a building located in Route 1. It has 3 floors and a balcony.
Floor 1 has some people that give you hints on the Tauros Puzzle.
Floor 2 has the PC and Healing Station. You can also start a sidequest to find a scientist's Techglasses (located in South Aventurine Woods after you do the Tauros puzzle), after which he will give you a department sticker.
Floor 3 has a Wide Lens on a table. By talking to the scientist to the left, you can also get the Itemfinder.
Balcony has a scientist that will give you a Tyrogue in exchange for a Dunsparce.
The 3rd entrance to the North from the left end of Route 1 leads to Celestinine Mountain B2F. Defeat the Tauros in front of it so that the Bouffalant can clear the log.
Electric Mouse House[]
The 4th entrance to the North from the left end of Route 1 leads to the house of Nyu. Defeat the Tauros in front of it so that the Bouffalant can clear the log. Then walk up and turn left and walk up.
Secret Garden[]
Between the 4th entrance to the North from the left end and the 1st entrance to the North from the right end is an area with some berries and items. You need to ride a Tauros to jump across the ledge to get to that area.
Ponds[]
The 1st entrance to the North from the right end of Route 1 leads to an area with some ponds in North Aventurine Woods, where the player can catch Dewpider and Araquanid through fishing with any rod and later obtain Sharpedonite.
A New Face[]
If the player goes to North Aventurine Woods from the 3rd entrance from the right end of Route 1, the player can run into a cutscene involving Titania and a meteor grunt. This cutscene is not available if the player goes to North Aventurine Woods from the 2nd entrance from the right end of Route 1. It is not mandatory to go through this path to reach the right end of Route 1.

If given an Oran Berry, Miltank will give the player a Moomoo Milk, a healing item that restores 100 health.
Tyrogue Trade[]
An NPC outside on the top floor can trade you a Tyrogue in exchange for a Dunsparce. The Tyrogue doesn't have any Egg Move with it. If the weather is not clear or windy, he can be found inside. This trade is only available before Postgame.
