While discussing Saphira's status after falling from Tanzan Mountain's peak, Charlotte talks about a story in which 4 crystal keys were used to lock away a meteor in an ancient temple. After Laura explains how she lost her Sapphire Bracelets in the fire that resulted in their parents death, Charlotte leaves to avoid listening about the fire. After the gym battle with Noel, Laura explains that Charlotte would sneak out at night and play with her Vulpix by the lake. However, the Vulpix accidentally started a fire and quickly took the place up in flames. Only Saphira, Charlotte, and Laura made it out alive. |

Awesome kind of runs in our family. No big deal.
Charlotte Belrose is the thirteenth Gym Leader of the Reborn region, as well as the younger sister of Laura and Saphira. She specializes in the Fire-type and is fought at Calcenon Gym, where she hands out the Cinder Badge, the eleventh Gym Badge the player receives.

Spoiler warning! | |
This article contains plot details about events that occur later in the game. |
Charlotte is first encountered when the player first enters the City Orphanage, where she, along with Noel, is introduced to the player by Anna.
When the player returns to the orphanage with Cain and Shelly in order to rescue Heather, Charlotte contributes to the breakout effort by distracting Dr. Sigmund Connal's orderlies, pestering them for her cigarettes and even biting one of them before they finally take her upstairs, where she is placed in solitary confinement until rescued by the player.
Once rescued, Charlotte enters the orphanage's storage room, where she retrieves not only her Pokémon, but those of Noel, Anna and Heather, along with her cigarettes and the key for Sigmund's private library, which she gives to the player so that they can enter the library and in turn unlock the Doctor's electroconvulsive therapy chamber, where Heather is being held.
Once Shelly and the player reach the ECT chamber, Charlotte and her Ninetales can be seen helping Cain and Noel to fight Sigmund and two of his orderlies - with the Doctor admitting that he is now outnumbered, however, Charlotte burns him with her cigarette, forcing him to free Heather from the clutches of his Electivire.
Upon escaping the City Orphanage, Charlotte flees to the Underground Railnet with the rest of the group, although they are later captured - with the exception of Cain - by Sirius, who emerges from the basement of the Yureyu Building after the player persuades Shade to open the door leading there.
When Cain and the player eventually enter the Yureyu Building, Charlotte is being held there by two Team Meteor grunts - once Cain and the player defeat the grunts, the trio go down to the floor below, where Charlotte correctly calls the bluff of two more grunts that threaten to kill Shelly if she steps any closer, successfully opening the passage to the upper floors as well as freeing Shelly.
After Anna and Heather are rescued from the building, Charlotte continues through the Underground Railnet with the rest of the group, eventually taking control of the train that the group use to break through the rubble there, emerging in the Chrysolia Region. Upon exiting the train, Charlotte leads the group to Belrose Mansion - the family home of her and her sisters - via Tanzan Mountain.
When the player arrives at the mansion, Charlotte recounts the events of the breakout at the City Orphanage to Laura, before introducing the middle sister to the player and Shelly. After Shelly asks Charlotte about her parents - a question she dismisses as "not important" - Charlotte tasks the player with going to Spinel Town to collect some medicine for the ailing Anna.
Following Anna's recovery, Charlotte acts as the would-be referee of the player's gym battle with Noel, which is interrupted by the arrival of her oldest sister, Saphira. Saphira instructs Anna, Charlotte, Shelly and Noel to get inside, tasking Laura and the player with defending the house before going to fight Team Meteor on her Dragonite.
At this point, the game branches into 3 paths, with one of the paths resulting in Charlotte and Shelly to be captured by Team Meteor. If they are captured, the player will venture with Saphira and free them with Gargantuan Steelix. If Saphira or the twins are captured, Charlotte stays at Tanzan Cove to await the player's return.

Gossip Gardevoir's interview intermission!
Hello! Gossip Gardevoir here in Interview Intermission, bringing YOU the inside scoop on Reborn's celebrity figures! Today I'm here in Calcenon City to interview the smoldering beauty famed for the flames-- Charlotte Belrose! Charlotte, thanks for taking the time to talk to me today. CHARLOTTE: Sure thing, Gardevoir. In fact I should be thanking you. We're in ground zero and things are about as boring as they can be up here. It's always a pleasure to take some time out of my day to embarrass someone on public TV. GARDEVOIR: That's-- No, wait, that's my job. CHARLOTTE:By 'someone' I meant myself. GARDEVOIR: Oh! Well no need to be embarrassed, darling. I must admit, you didn't seem like the shy type. CHARLOTTE: I'n not. GARDEVOIR: Well-- okay. Whatever the case, don't worry, I'm sure you'll do fine! CHARLOTTE: I'm not worried either. I wasn't even serious about embarrassing myself. But it's nice that you try and think of the comfort levels of your guests once in a while. GARDEVOIR: Of course! That's just what a good hostess should-- Wait, what do you mean, "Once in a while"? CHARLOTTE: I've seen your past interviews. You normally just act all high and mighty while you put someone else on blast. Am I wrong? GARDEVOIR: Of course you're wrong! CHARLOTTE: That's funny, because I distinctly remember you tearing into Aya in a previous episode. Threatening to tell the world about her relationship? That doesn't seem very courteous to me. GARDEVOIR: She called the police! CHARLOTTE: You're right, that was rude of her. Almost as rude as you being in her house without permission. G: And still not half as rude as you're being right now! CHARLOTTE: Oh, you're right. My apologies, Gardevoir, I thought that you would be more supportive of your fans who've watched so many of your past TV appearances. I guess this is just how much we mean to you though. GARDEVOIR: That's not what I'm saying! CHARLOTTE: You've got such a short fuse. Do you really get along well with the sponsors this way? GARDEVOIR: That's none of your business! CHARLOTTE: Do you want to know what I think? I think you're lying. GARDEVOIR: Lying? Okay, this sounds good. Tell me, almighty wise Charlotte. What am lying about? CHARLOTTE: You're lying to yourself. You know the truth about why this show is funded. It's because you're a character. GARDEVOIR: A character? Like in a game or something? That's ridiculous. CHARLOTTE: You're sold to the public masses as a foolish, incompetent reporter character. The only value in these interviews comes from your buffoonery. Why else wouldn't it be edited out? But you have this egocentristic streak that lashes back when prodded. If you were really playing as a character, you wouldn't be so sensitive. You'd have an understanding that the you on TV is different that who you really are. But you don't. Because you're every bit as impulsive and incompetent as you appear. But the worst part is, you won't admit it even when you know it. Even you're impulsive, you're not so stupid as to not have thought about your own shows. You realized that you were just being used and made fun of, but you wanted to believe you were actually a famous person people cared about. So you're been playing make-believe with your own success this whole time. GARDEVOIR: That's nonsense... CHARLOTTE: Is it? Look me in the eye and tell me I'm wrong. GARDEVOIR: ... That's all on today's Interview Intermission... |

Trivia
- Charlotte's name is a word play on 'Char'.
- In previous versions, Charlotte's VS sprite has a cigarette. This was removed in later versions.
- Ame says that Charlotte could use the same battle tactics with her late mother, which is a lot of burning and Eruption move. It turns out to be true.
