Aster and Eclipse are two recurring grunts in Team Meteor. They are first encountered at Mosswater Factory.
Aster and Eclipse joined Team Meteor for different reasons, but are assigned as partners for most of the missions. Eclipse is fairly serious at her job, but gets frusterated with sudden inconviences, especially at Aster. Aster can be fairly oblivious to social cues and situations, but is very devoted to Team Meteor even more than Eclipse. While the two are polar oppsites, they get along decently well when they are not arguing.

When Corey's body was later found in the Lapis Ward by Victoria and Shelly. After the player arrives, Aster & Eclipse appear to confirm the death of Corey. When the two grunts were about to leave, Aster accidently tell Victoria that the bombing in North Obsidia Ward stairs was from Team Meteor, which Eclipse yells at him afterward. Victoria heads to the Grand Stairway and is captured by the two grunts. The player battles the two of them with Victoria at the deepest end of the cave and both retreat after their defeat.
The two appear yet again at Azurine Island, attempting to stop the player from rescuing Cain. After their defeat, Aster accidently tells the player a hint where he is, which Eclipse yells at him again. They both retreat again and are not seen for a while.

While the player and Aya were making their way towards Calcenon City, they traveled through caves and encountered Team Meteor members along the way. Eventually, they reach the room where the PULSE Clawitzer is being controlled by Aster and Eclipse. After defeating them, Eclipse willingly turns off the machine and decides to quit Team Meteor. Aster asks why she would do this when they were going to change the world. Eclpise says that the new world isn't worth it if the people you care about isn't in it. Aster doesn't understand which Eclipse says Aster's parents died when he was young and was raised by Team Meteor. Due to this, Aster believes he owes them his life to the end. Eclipse then says that her father lives in Calcenon City, and if the PULSE Clawitzer hits his house its over for her.
Before she quits Team Meteor, Eclipse tries to explain that to the player that Team Meteor wasn't always bad but Lin started to rise through the ranks and took over Team Meteor. However, this statement is short lived as Sirius appears and kills her with his Chandelure. As he turns to kill the player, Aya pushes the player out of the way to safety. Instead of killing Aya, Sirius decides to take her as a hostage and leaves with Aster. Asters says he's not leaving Eclipse's body, which Sirius replies to do whatever since she's already gone.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Eclipse is named after an astronomical event, which occurs when one object (the moon or earth) gets in between you and another object (the sun) and blocks your view.
- Eclipse's real name is actually Caitlin Fisher (although it doesn't seem to have a pun or origin).
- Aster's name comes from the word 'Asteroid', a rocky object that orbits the sun. When an asteroid enters Earth's atmosphere, it becomes a Meteor instead.
- In the game's early history, Aster and Eclipse used to have a shared VS mugshot. This was later removed due to the internal name being too long to display.
- Eclipse often speaks in a sarcastic tone while Aster is sarcastic-blind.
- The game treats Aster & Eclipse as one entity in battle until the Calcenon control Center, meaning they can send out each other's pokemon.
- The pokemon they have tend to have two pokemon that are "opposites".
- Lunatone and Solrock
- Passimian and Oranguru
- Midnight Lycanroc and Midday Lycanroc
- Electivire and Magmortar (prior to EP17, which were then replaced by Lycanrocs)
