Anna's Amethyst Pendant. Team Meteor covets it as a special key.
Amethyst Pendant is one of the four keys needed to open Reborn's core. It is called "the seal of the Beyond".
In the game[]
The Amethyst key was originally in the possession of Solaris' family. One day, the keys are stolen by Radomus, who asks a friend to turn them into jewellery. Radomus then gives the other three keys away, keeping only the Amethyst Pendant to give it to his wife, Zina Vanhanen. When Zina vanishes many years later, she leaves behind the Amethyst Pendant. Fearing that Team Meteor would hunt down his family for the Amethyst Pendant, he bequeathes it to Anna when he gives them away so that Team Meteor would have no clue where to search for them.
Anna grows up anonymously in the orphanage and is unmolested by Team Meteor for many years. However, when Anna is kidnapped by Sirius, he recognises the Amethyst Pendant and steals it from her. As a result, Anna becomes feverishly sick and needs medicine.
After the events at Tanzan Meteor Base, Saphira manages to steal the Ruby Ring and Amethyst Pendant from Sirius and gives them to the player to divert attention from her family. When the player encounters Ditto-Gardevoir and Adrienn at the Citae Astrae, Gardevoir snatches the Amethyst Pendant from the player, only to be later reclaimed by Radomus, who holds onto the Amethyst Pendant until he finally reunites with his children during the events at the Glass Workstation.
Trivia[]
- It is implied that the Amethyst Pendant somehow connects with its wearer. Radomus muses that giving Anna the Amethyst Pendant in her early youth may have shaped her in a significant way, and when Anna is separated from the Amethyst Pendant, she becomes gravely ill.
